Chalet La Piste is situated in Haute-Nendaz, a renowned resort in the middle of the Swiss Alps at the south-side of the Rhone-valley. The area enjoys as micro-climate. Compared to the French Côte d'Azur, Haute-Nendaz offers on average almost equal amounts of sunshine ! In winter the area has abundant snowfall and is part of Switzerland's most extensive ski area with over 400km of ski runs. In summer it is one of Switzerland's sunniest and driest regions.
Due to a favorable climate, dry and clean air, and natural beauty combined with a variety of outdoor activities, La Piste is a wonderful mountain retreat during any season of the year. In winter La Piste offers direct access to ski runs and in other seasons the chalet is starting point of many hikes and mountain bike trails. A 5min walk to a friendly restaurant and cozy (ski)bar. At 15-20min walking distance a diversity of (rental)shops, tourist office, restaurants, pubs, large supermarkets, banks, etc.
In addition to the many winter sports activities, Nendaz and immediate surroundings offer many recreational opportunities. The 4 Vallées spa / wellness (with include indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, hammam, salt baths, and ice), many winter hiking trails, snowshoe trails, ice rink, thermal baths, the historical city of Sion (shopping, castle visit, museums). You may also just opt for lazing in the warm winter sun, enjoying the serene surroundings and the beautiful views.
